About Us

Grandmother with her daughter

We can prevent cervical cancer with reliable cervical cancer screening methods, safe and effective vaccines, and efficacious treatment. Based on the Carolina Framework, we are developing a coordinated effort to reduce or eliminate cervical cancer in the United States by establishing and reinvigorating collaborative partnerships nationwide to put this knowledge into action.

Our goals:

  1. To increase HPV vaccination among young female adolescents ages 10-18
  2. To increase cervical cancer screening among women ages 25-64 who have not been screened in the last four years

As part of a coast-to-coast effort, we are beginning activities in Alabama, California, Indiana, KentuckyNorth Carolina, and Texas. Lessons learned from initial activities in these states can be scaled up in other states and ultimately across the nation. In addition to being in national efforts, partner states will work towards developing policy coalitions within their own state and will develop state-specific projects focused on vaccination and screening. The implementation projects will allow the coalition to address local challenges and opportunities, while still working within the National agenda.
